Los Angeles is in the red tier which means we’re able to re-open and safely welcome you back! Since we can only operate at 25% capacity, we have temporarily moved to a timed, reservation-based system. We have TWO amazing options for you to choose from:
Outdoor Contactless Sensory Play and Story Time – available now
Join us for a story time followed by sensory play activities. We invite you to make a big mess! It’s what messy play is all about! Held outdoors in our parking lot.
Indoor Open Play – available starting April 6, 2021
Our indoor play space emphasizes gross motor development through its high-energy physical activities and sociodramatic learning in imaginative role-play spaces. Come play with us!
Updated: March 29, 2021
Following the lead of many children’s museums across the nation, Southern California Children’s Museum will be temporarily closing effective Saturday, March 14. Programming, events, and parties have been cancelled/rescheduled. Given the confirmed case of COVID-19 in Pasadena, it is our responsibility to do our part to slow the spread of this virus by implementing crowd-limiting strategies recommended by public health experts and the CDC.
We will miss seeing our favorite little people and hope to have good news for you in the coming weeks. While we are closed to the public, we will take advantage of this time by performing a deep cleaning of the museum. We have made this decision to protect visitors, staff, and the community, and know how out of control things feel right now. We encourage you to take care of yourselves and to not forget to find space to love, laugh, and hug your humans.
We will continue to post at-home activities and send you updates as we can. We appreciate your continued support of our organization and your understanding. As with many non-profit museums and small businesses, we are funded through admissions and sales, and encourage you to make a donation or play pass purchase for the future to help offset operational costs as we are closed.
