Join us for fall family fun at SCCM in Pasadena!
Fall back into play at Southern California Children’s Museum, this September with some familiar favorites and a few fresh play spaces.
This autumn we are celebrating classic play patterns that are timeless, yet extraordinary. From our beloved Big Blue Blocks from Imagination Playground, to our fascinating pin-impression boards – these familiar favorites aren’t just fun; they’re essential learning tools that support healthy development through repeat play.
But it’s not all classic favorites! We are expanding our baby play area, offering more protected space for little ones ages 0-18 months to explore safely on their backs, bellies, and as new crawlers.
You will also find a new dramatic play and sensory experience – our “Autumn Yard” offers a small taste of fall right here in SoCal. Here colorful leaves flutter and fly, and can be raked, tossed, and collected – supporting a variety of cognitive and motor growth play.
For our twice daily art program “Wild Impressions” kids explore making imprints and patterns in clay using natural materials. It’s process art at its finest— sensory based, exploratory, and completely child-driven. Check out our programs and events calendar for more!
So this September, beat the heat in our cool, comfortable space and enjoy some peaceful bonding time together before the holiday rush begins. Simple moments, extraordinary growth – that’s what play is all about.
