GRASSROOTS
AND GROWING
Southern California Children’s Museum (SCCM) was founded in 2013 by a group of parents who felt there was an underserved need for public early childhood education in their community. Now ten years in existence, SCCM supports developmental milestone growth for children 0-8 years old through the arts and served nearly 23,000 people in 2022.
Founded by the community, for the community.
The mission of SCCM is to cultivate a child’s wonder, stimulate curiosity and motivate learning through interactive exhibits, creative experiences, and dramatic play, all while promoting the diverse cultures of Southern California.
Our core initiatives include:
- Early childhood development
- Physical and emotional wellness
- Arts and creative expression
- Environmental stewardship
- Cultural equity and inclusion.
SCCM partners with local schools and organizations to offer field trips, community programs, camps, and classes. Join us for regular community-based cultural celebrations that uplift the diversity of Southern California residents!
