Construction on Colorado: Know Before You Go
Construction is underway to improve bus service to communities across the San Fernando and San Gabriel Valleys. LA Metro’s Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project will include dedicated bus lanes, enhanced stations, all-door boarding, zero-emission buses, and improved connections to other Metro lines. The 19-mile route will serve North Hollywood, Burbank, Glendale, Eagle Rock, and Pasadena, with 22 new stations designed to make getting around our region more convenient and comfortable.
While we look forward to these improvements, please be aware that construction for the North Hollywood to Pasadena BRT may affect your route to SCCM through November 2026.
What to Know Before You Visit
- Construction may make it more difficult to access our parking lot when traveling east on Los Robles Avenue.
- Metered parking in front of the museum on Colorado Ave. may be more difficult to obtain.
- Conditions and traffic patterns will change as construction progresses, so we recommend checking Metro’s latest updates on construction, and altering your route accordingly. The most current information will always come directly from Metro.
We know that construction can add a little extra uncertainty to a family outing, especially when you’re traveling with young children. We want to help you know what to expect before you arrive so you can spend less time navigating detours and more time enjoying your time at the museum!
