Story & Craft: Kamala and Maya’s Big Idea

March 5 @ 10:30 am - 11:00 am

Featured Book: Kamala and Maya’s Big Idea by Meena Harris.

March is Women’s History Month, a time to honor and recognize the significant contributions that women have made throughout history. It’s an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of women from all walks of life—whether in science, politics, education, the arts, or everyday roles—and to highlight the importance of gender equality. Just like how we talk about heroes in stories, we also talk about real-life women who have been brave, smart, and strong.

***

Each week during Story & Craft, we bring stories to life through arts and crafts! Perfect for our toddler to kindergarten friends, this weekly program exposes kids to various authors, illustrators, cultures and diverse characters through stories, play, crafts and songs! Enjoy cultural lessons driven by heritage months and awareness days.
