You’ve Got This: Navigating Starting School

Pasadena Education Network is a local organization that helps parents and guardians explore, evaluate, and engage with their public schools, and represents a collective voice for parents with the Pasadena Unified School District. 

SCCM is working with with PEN, as well as community partner Gia Gambaro Blount to offer a three session parent/guardian learning series, where families are invited to get support as they prepare to send their early learners to school for the first time. 

This series will cover three main topic areas:

• Learning more about the difference between TK and PreK (April 2nd)
  • Purchase Tickets to the April 2nd Workshop Here
• An approach to choosing a school that centers your values while minimizing stress & peer pressure (April 9th)
  • Purchase Tickets to the April 9th Workshop Here
• How to navigate the PUSD enrollment process. (April 16)
  • Purchase Tickets to the April 16 Workshop Here

Families are welcome to attend one or all three workshops/discussions.

We know it’s dinner time! So families are invited to bring their own dinner to enjoy it at the museum. Doors for the event will open at 5:30 p.m., and the workshop/discussion will begin at 6:00 p.m.
