Perfect for first-time campers and youngsters who already know the drill, SCCM’s camps are designed with fun in mind and promote creativity, curiosity, and coordination. Performing Arts, Culinary Arts, Fine Arts, and My California are woven into the daily activities which include arts and crafts, movement, food crafts, music, drama and games. With four different camps to choose from, you’re sure to find something that suits your little one!

 June 4 – 7

With popcorn, prize tickets, and carnival games, this camp will capture the excitement and thrill of attending a carnival. Children will design their own carnival rides, take lessons in balloon art and face painting, and learn to draw silly caricatures. Since carnivals are full of color, color will be incorporated through juggling, ribbon dances, color songs, and an original theatre skit.

At SCCM, we understand how much kids love cars & trucks! During this camp, children will engage in races, games, and other activities using our secret stash of cars & trucks. Cork boats and paper airplane activities will also be featured in this week all about cool machines. Children will design their own modes of transportation using our exhibits and other fun materials.

July 23 – 26

From an animation demo lesson to learning to leap and spin like a dancer, this week will feature a sampling of as much art as we have time for! For part of each day, we will sit down to engage in the fine arts and spend the other half up on our feet as we explore the performing arts. All of the art will make you hungry, so we will mix in the culinary arts and make some fun, tasty treats using foods grown right here in California.

August 13 – 16 – FULL

At this camp, we will dive down into the depths of the ocean to discover the fascinating world below. From sandcastles to starfish to mysterious mermaids, we will learn about marine life with a sprinkling of the more magical. We will suit up in goggles and flippers and search for long lost treasures at the bottom of the sea. Splish, splash, we are going to have a blast!
